Linda Kay Swann-Quist, age 83, passed away peacefully amongst her family on Friday, April 14th, 2023. Linda was born October 23rd, 1939, in Ranger, Texas. She was a warm and loving spirit with a great sense of humor and a bright welcoming smile. Linda was beloved by family and friends who will miss her kindness, feisty nature, and many stories of her life in New Mexico and Texas.

Linda lived life to the fullest. She graduated from Highland High School in 1957, and later earned her associates in 1991 from TVI. Linda got her pilot's license as a young woman and was a lifelong member of the Ninety-Nines. She was also a lifelong member of Job's Daughters and was a former member of the Grand Guardian Council for NM. She loved the Balloon Fiesta, and in its earliest years, participated as a volunteer at many events. From a young age she loved animals, arts and crafts, ice skating, traveling, and spending time with those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Valetta Wood; her father, John McKinney; her stepfather, Edwin Wood; her husband, Terry Quist; her ex-husband, Charles Swann and by her son, David Swann.

Linda is survived by her children, Cynthia Davis and husband Jeff, Susan Swann and wife Danita; her stepchildren, Candice Quist and husband John Reinhold, Erica Berman and husband Bradley, Deb Lynn Quist Aldana, and Patrick Quist and wife Lawanna; her grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary, Jacqueline and Madison Davis, and Samantha Reinhold. A special thanks to her extended family, the Beddo's, and her Corus nurses and staff who provided loving support during this difficult time.

The memorial for Linda will be held at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Pl. NE. ABQ, NM 87106, on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 at 2:00 PM. The reception will follow. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Terry, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
