Leonard Rusty "Ace" Marquez was born May 13, 1968 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard George Marquez Sr.; by his mother, Patsy Marquez; grandmother, Anita Prechitt; brothers, Patrick and Adrian Marquez.

Leonard is survived by his sons, Patrick  Marquez, Isaiah Marquez and Leonard Marquez III; daughter, Theresa Marquez; step daughters, Danielle Nieto, Danetta Candelaria and Danicca Candelaria; grand daughter, Isbriah Marquez; brothers, Casper Marquez and sister in law Deborah Salgado (Marquez) and her daughter Mary,  Simon Hazel Hernandez; sister, Allison Curtis and her son, Joshua Curtis; niece, Crystal Sanchez and her daughter, Mariana Jaramillo; as well as all of his nieces and nephews; other family member and friends. He was loved by many and will be truly missed by his neighborhood.

Leonard will be remembered as a very loving man who loved and did everything to the fullest for his beloved family or anyone in need that he knew. He was a very good big brother and very protective of his family and had a heart of gold. As well, Leonard loved to play the guitar and was very good at it. He loved working and painting cars, loved to swim with Mariana, do gardening and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.. Leonard loved his neighborhood so much he would try to be a big brother or father figure to the kids in the neighborhood who were less fortunate to have one of their own. He always encouraged everyone to fullfill their dreams and reach their goals in life.

A visitation will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
