Leo Felix Sr. was born October 3 rd , 1941. He was called to heaven on Wednesday, February 1 st , 2023. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he grew up in Martinez town and Henry Circle SW, where he met his loving wife, built a home, raised a family and left his legacy.
Leo enjoyed life. He was the most positive, selfless person, with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his family and cherished them every day. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and driving adventures. Leo loved home cooked meals and holidays; Christmas was his favorite. He would start decorating early, and light up the block with Christmas lights, in earlier years, and enjoyed setting up his village that grew with the years. Leo enjoyed being in his yard building things, gardening and grooming his lawn. He had a special relationship with each person and helped to raise some of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit, loving heart, smile that lit up a room and his laugh.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Felix; mother, Christina Felix; father, Cipriano Felix; daughter, Joann Felix; and by six brothers, Orlando, Joe, Henry, Cipriano, Candido and Gilbert.
He is survived by five children, Leo Felix Jr. and wife Jenny, Betty Marquez and husband Rick, Bobby Felix and wife Elaine, Dorothy Esquivel and husband James, Diane Montoya Felix and Husband Oscar, Elicia Marquez, and Destiny Chavez; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Sandoval, Frances Pacheco and Husband Greg, and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who loved and will miss him greatly.
Memorial services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 on Thursday, February 9 th ,2023. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 am with a mass to follow at 9:00 am. There will be a procession to Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM, 87102 for the interment. Any flower arrangements can be delivered to the Church for the services.
