Lela M. Luckie was born November 29, 1941 in Routt County, Colorado. She passed away peacefully, at her home, on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Lela will be remembered as an avid lover of any and all animals. Llamas were her true favorite, along with horses, dogs, cats, goats and literally any other animal. Above all, Lela was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She looked so forward to seeing Jesus face to face.

In her earlier years, Lela thoroughly enjoyed making flower arrangements, it was an amazing talent she had. She enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors like landscaping and gardening; especially, she loved living in the mountains as this was her dream come true.

Lela loved her children dearly as her family meant everything to her. She will always be remembered for how she loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul.

Lela was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Evelyn Edwards and by her three sisters, Gladys Manchester, June Burkdoll and Terri Armijo.

She is lovingly survived by her two children; her daughter, Stacey Irwin and Russ and by her son, Sean Luckie; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

A graveside service will take place at Sandia Memorial Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE. ABQ. on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 11:30 am.

Pallbearers will be her treasured family.
