Lee Gallegos, age 75, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Gallegos was born in Espanola, New Mexico on December 8 ^th , 1947.

Mr. Gallegos worked in the medical field where he met his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth. He loved fishing and played softball in the Albuquerque Team Leagues in the late 70's. As well, he loved the horse races, bingo and scratchers. Mr. Gallegos went back to college, in a change of career due to a eye disease that took his eyesight in his early 30's .

He was preceded by his mother, Andrea Gallegos and by his sister, Charlotte Villarreal.

Mr. Gallegos is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Gallegos; four children, Corinne Ulibarri of Rio Rancho, NM, Steven Gallegos, Lisa Shockley and husband Shawn, Kristy Gallegos and partner Mike of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Carlos, Andrew, Joseph, Yvonna, Santana and Anna Marie; sister, Antionette Hague and husband William of Las Cruces, NM; aunts, many cousins, nephews, nieces; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.

A visitation will be held in the chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4 ^th ST. NW., on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  The Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, on Friday, February 3, 2023. The Rosary 10:30am and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am. The reception will follow at the Cesar Chavez Community Center, 7505 Kathryn Ave. SE., suite 5260 ABQ., NM.  87108 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
