Kevin Dale Rice, 58, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with colorectal cancer. Born on August 26, 1967, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Kevin lived a life full of warmth, hard work, and genuine connection with everyone he met.

Kevin worked in the construction industry with Jaynes Corporation for 30 years, rising to the role of Superintendent. He was deeply passionate about his work and truly loved his peers, customers, and colleagues throughout the industry. Simply put, Kevin was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. He was incredibly friendly and outgoing, with a gift for making people feel valued. Whether through a phone call, a text, or a conversation on a job site, Kevin always showed up. He cared deeply about both his work and his relationships with those he loved.

From a very young age, Kevin was enamored with hot air ballooning and never missed the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. He loved the sport and the many people he connected with through it over the years. Kevin enjoyed traveling to hot air balloon events with his wife, Ginger, where they flew RC balloons together. He recently purchased his own RC balloon, designed with the colors of his family's hot air balloon from his childhood.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ginger, who never left his side and lovingly cared for him throughout his courageous battle. He is also survived by his daughter, Samantha Rice of Los Lunas, New Mexico; his parents, Richard and Judith Rice of Albuquerque; his brother, Brad Rice and his wife, Jessica, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; his brother, Eric Rice of Denver, Colorado; and his four grandchildren.

All who knew and loved Kevin are welcome to celebrate his life on April 25, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in Albuquerque, at a private residence, located at 1684 Pace Rd NW.
