Obituary

Keri (Bruner) Stewart, cherished wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 14, 2024. A life-long resident of Albuquerque, Keri was born December 10, 1958, to Gene and Marty Bruner, quickly displaying the vibrant spirit and genuine smile that would endear her to everyone she met throughout her life.

Keri attended APS schools, graduating from Sandia High School in 1976 and soon began work as an orthodontic assistant. In addition to her husband Doug, she is survived by her cherished mother, Marty Bruner; mother-in-law, Sondra Stewart; her Bruner siblings, Kent (Ann), Kim, and Karla; siblings-in-law, Diane Mills (Todd) and Dave Stewart (Susan) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces/ nephews who comprised the brightest sparkling stars in her universe.

A bundle of energy, Keri was a dancer in local theater, a talented watercolor artist, an avid Lobo sports fan (especially basketball in the Pit and MWC tournaments), and a tireless playmate over the years to her beloved 6 dogs. When the dogs tuckered out, Keri was off to an exercise class or out cycling. Keri's unfailing positivity, intense dedication, and genuine belief in human goodness, combined with her outgoing and friendly personality allowed her to form exceptional collegial relationships wherever she went. Keri's strength of character and visionary spirit led her to a successful career as a corporate trainer and personal coach throughout New Mexico and across the United States. As the owner of Results 4 Business, her entrepreneurial drive and business acumen, coupled with her irrepressible optimism, supported growth of countless clients and brought success to many businesses. Keri's enduring legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service and reception to celebrate Keri's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria Road, NE, in Albuquerque.
