Kellie Elisha Wade-Leal was born to Pamela and Joseph Wade on August 13, 1984 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She left this world suddenly on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho at the age of 37.

Kellie attended Los Lunas High School, where she was a Tiger cheerleader. After graduating in 2002, she continued her education at DeWolff's Hair Styling and Cosmetology Institute where she received her Cosmetology license; a stylist who could cut and color hair like a boss.

Kellie loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She would make sure you were well-fed before serving herself a plate.

Kellie also worked in education as a substitute teacher at Bernalillo Elementary School, being greatly loved and appreciated for her caring and compassionate skills with kids. Her love of children was evident as she was always willing and able to teach them and care for them in many amazing, imaginative ways. Children absolutely adored her and fondly referred to her as "Miss Kellie." Her own nieces and nephews idolized her because the same love she expressed in the classroom was amplified and felt at home. But, Kellie's greatest accomplishment was her colossal unfailing love, commitment and devotion to her daughters. Loving her daughters is where she glowingly excelled.

Kellie will forever be remembered as a beloved daughter, devoted wife, dedicated mother, adored and cherished sister, nurturing aunt, and trusted loyal friend. If it seemed Kellie was being stern, it was for good reason - because she had your best interest at heart and, generally, her sternness was for the better.

Kellie's personality was larger than life, with her signature purple hair, long glittery fingernails and her exquisite, dazzling smile (emphasis on her dimples). She was an expert organizer, being able to execute and handle the most difficult of tasks. She was the epitome of volunteerism and was ever eager to step-up and display her creative ideas for the benefit of others. Kellie didn't hesitate taking charge of organizing benefits, fundraisers or any event that was for the betterment of others and she never thought twice about tackling the enormous job of making gift boxes for U.S. Military personnel.

Kellie's inner beauty was magnificent and she valued making the world a better place. Our loss is enormous, for we will never fill this void in our heart because there is only "our" one and only Kellie and there will never be another on this earth like her to fill the void. To know Kellie was to love and cherish Kellie and those who knew her will carry her in their heart and life forever.

What Kellie would want is when you think of her, you feel better and find yourself with a more positive outlook and with a hint of a smile as you see her brilliant smile in your mind. Her purpose in this life was to make the world a better place which she fully, generously and lovingly accomplished. Kellie, your love will carry us forward and your memories will fill our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Wade; her grandmother, Frances Aragon; uncle, Louis Aragon and by her aunts, Lynda Lucero and Anna Aragon.

Kellie is survived by her husband, Angel Leal; daughters, Tiana Leal, Pamela Leal, and Maya Leal; father, Joseph Wade; sisters, Cassandra Hardin and Taylor Wade; brother, Zachary Wade; grandparents, Myles and Cecilia Wade, and Ben and Angie Aragon; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

Memorial Services will be held at Church of the Incarnation Catholic Church, 2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144 on Saturday, February 5, 2022. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30am. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am with a reception to follow.

She was interred at the Isleta Cemetery, Tribal Road 56, Isleta, NM 87022, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00am.
