Julian Wiggins
Jr.
Jul 24, 1941 — Jun 1, 2026
Bernalillo
Julian Wiggins Jr. was 84 years old when he passed away on June 1, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the loving and supportive husband of Erlinda Wiggins in which they shared 57 years together married but on June 6, 2026, they would have been together a total of 60 beautiful years. Julian was born in Bernalillo, New Mexico son of Julian Sr. & Josefita Wiggins
He is preceded in death by his parents Julian Sr. & Josefita Wiggins; a brother & a sister. He is survived by his Wife Erlinda Wiggins; children Paul & Lorraine Wiggins and Dolores Wiggins; grandchildren Julianna Wiggins, Christopher Urioste, Paul Julian Wiggins, and Valarie Moffett; great grandchildren Angelina, Isaac, Thomas, Frances, Cassandra & Paul Julian Jr.; brothers Cresencio Wiggins & Rose, Manuel & Mary Wiggins, Nick & Doris Wiggins; sisters Candy Lopez & Mary Elena Wiggins and several nephews, nieces, family, and many friends.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Julian began his career as a uranium mine worker before finding his calling behind the wheel as a truck driver. His determination led him to establish Wiggins Trucking in September 1971, a business he proudly owned and operated until 2009. Through years of long hours and hard work, he built not only a successful business but also a reputation for honesty, reliability, and integrity.
Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, camping, making music, and listening to his favorite songs. He took special pride in caring for his yard and garden, tending to them with the same dedication he brought to every aspect of his life. Friends and family will remember him for his way with words, quick wit, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He was often the first to offer support, encouragement, and honest advice, always pushing those he loved to do the right thing. To put it simple, he wore his heart on his sleeve, especially when it came to his family. And no memory of him would be complete without mentioning his hat—it was a rare sight to see him step outside without it, a familiar trademark of the man everyone knew and loved.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM at 10:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery also in Bernalillo, NM.
