Juanrene Geraldo Arroyo was born October 30, 2001 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, Juanrene passed away tragically on Friday, May 26, 2023.
He will be remembered as a very loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, boyfriend and friend. Juanrene was always so kind-hearted and respectful. He loved fishing, camping, horseback riding, dancing and was always the life of the party with his sense of humor and wit.
In his middle school years, Juanrene attended Washington Middle School and played baseball for the Atrisco and West Mesa Little Leagues, since he was in kindergarten. He graduated from Rio Grande High School in 2020, where he played football as a freshman.
Juanrene loved sports, especially football and playing baseball. Most of all he was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs Fan! He loved cruising in old cars and listening to oldies music. As well, he enjoyed playing video games and loved his two dogs, Zues and Leo.
Juanrene is survived by his mother, Samantha Amanda Tapia; father, Rene Arroyo Vasquez; sister, Renee Arianna Arroyo; girlfriend, Jacqueline Chavez; grandparents, Elizabeth Tapia Aragon and John Aragon; Consuelo and Humberto Arroyo; aunts, Valerie Felix and Adrianna Cavalier; uncles, Miguel Felix Silva, Tomas Cavalier, Feddy Arroyo, Sebellano Arroyo and Alan Arroyo; cousin, Miliani Felix as well as numerous cousins, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly.
Visitation and services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. on Saturday, June 3, 2023. A visitation will begin at 8:00 am. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am. He will then be laid to rest at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery, Coors and Arenal SW. Pallbearers will be Tomas Cavalier, Jose Vargas, Jesus Vargas, Alejandro Gutierrez, Josiah Lovato, Humberto Arroyo, Gerardo Arroyo and Alfredo Arroyo.
