In Loving Memory of
Juan Manuel Marrufo Ruiz
April 16, 1943 – March 2, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Juan Manuel Marrufo Ruiz, who left this world peacefully at home on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born on April 16, 1943, Juan Manuel lived a life filled with love, laughter, and music. He had a special gift for lifting spirits—always ready with a smile, a joke, or a kind word. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and cared for.
Juan Manuel cherished the simple joys of life. He loved the peace and beauty of the country, where he found comfort and calm. Ranchera music filled his days, a soundtrack to countless memories—stories of strength, love, and tradition that reflected his own journey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa; his daughter, Maria; and his sons Manuel Tapia, Luis Marrufo, and Michael Marrufo. He was preceded in death by his son Ricardo Marrufo, whom he missed dearly and kept close in his heart.
Juan Manuel was the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. His legacy lives on through them—through their laughter, their love, and the stories they'll continue to tell.
Services will be held at St Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Juan Manuel leaves behind a family who adored him, and a community of friends and loved ones who will never forget the warmth of his presence, his sense of humor, and the music of his life. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
