Josie Nancy Lopez, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023. She was born in Santa Rosa, NM, on May 30, 1937, to Clara Medina and Alfonso Medina. In 1955 at the age of 18 she moved to Albuquerque, NM. In 1957 she married Edd Ned Lopez and in the following years welcomed 4 beautiful daughters.  She was a certified Realtor for 54 years.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Edd Ned Lopez, Daughters Joleen Burton, Nadine Lopez, and Cyndi Baca, son in law Ralph Baca Parents Clara and Alfonso Medina, Sister Lita Larranaga, and Brother Chris Medina.

Josie is survived by her daughter Darlene Lopez; son in law Darin Burton; granddaughters Elianna Lopez-Sanchez, Jayleen Burton, Jennifer (Baca) Adams (Jason Adams); grandson Steven Baca; great-grandchildren Sabrina Baca, Antonio Romero, Mariah Romero, Haylie Adams and Connor Adams; sisters Thelma Chavez (Victor) and Viola Paige.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 9:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Mass Burial at 10:00 am.  at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11509 Indian School Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.   Burial will follow at 11:30 am, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.  A Reception will follow after the burial, at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church Parish Hall.

Pallbearers will be Victor Chavez Jr., Antonio Romero, Jason Adams, Christine Medina, Severo Moreno and AJ Moreno.  Honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Moya.
