Josephine (Josie) Moya was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.  She was born on June 25, 1928, in the village of Tesuque, New Mexico.

Josie was the eldest of nine children, and at an early age helped care for all her younger siblings.  She had six children of her own and would eventually help raise and care for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well.  Josie made six generations possible, and she laughed and joked and loved us all, always making sure we ate!

Josie is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Moya; her parents, Charlie and Ernestine Jimenez; her siblings Manuel Jimenez, Stella Ortega, and Charlie Jimenez Jr.; and by her children Tony, Frank, and Mark Armijo.

She is survived by her siblings, Consuelo Gonzales and husband Bob, Rosina Abeyta, Joe Jimenez and wife Betty, Mary Gomez and husband Eloy, and Gilbert Jimenez and wife Sally.  Her children Isabel Montoya and husband Jerry, Helen Giroir and Gerald Jimenez.  Josie is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren (including great, great, great grandchildren).

Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 on Thursday, October 20, 2022.  The Rosary will be recited at 8:00am. The Mass will be celebrated at 9:00am with the reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
