Josephine Georgia Jaramillo “Josie” 85 of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026 peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Josie was born on March 2, 1941 in Denver, CO to Geronima Margarita Morales-Parra and Jose Parra. It was in Denver, 1958 that she met Luis Jaramillo and in 1966 they were married. They then moved to Albuquerque, NM to build their life together.

Josie was preceded in death by her mother, father and all siblings. She is survived by her loving husband Luis; sons Ronald and wife Monica, Ernie and wife Chau; daughter Kathy and husband James; grandchildren, Tanya, Ben, Britney, Kaylene, Kevin, Marcus, Mya and Michael; great grandchildren Skyla, Denise, Myra, Jacob, Ariel, Junior, Madie and many other extended family and friends.

Memorial will be held at The Lighthouse Baptist Church at, 4001 12th street NW in Albuquerque, NM on date and time to be announced. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
