Jose Victor Quintana, "Joey", was born November 21, 1956 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the young age of 64.

Joey attended Coronado Elementary, Washington Middle and graduated from Albuquerque High School where he was a member of the DECA Club.

During his childhood years, he was newspaper boy, a cross walk guard at Coronado Elementary and a football player.

He proudly and honorably served his country in the US Navy. After completing his military service, Joey  had careers in management at Alphagraphics, Dataco and Galles Chevrolet.

Joey's hobbies included, cars (buying, selling, detailing) and going on motorcycle runs with his friends. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, family vacations, Mariachis Specatular, Car shows, home improvement projects and playing the guitar. A lifelong Catholic, Joey had a special devotion to St Francis of Assisi, was involved in the Barelas Posadas Ministry and served as an Officiant of wedding ceremonies.

Joey will be fondly remembered for his wonderful personality and for being a jokester.  He was very likeable, caring, giving and would make friends with anyone.

He is survived by his Ex-wife: Eleanor Rodarte; beloved daughters, Candace Quintana and Crystal Hays; treasured grandchildren, Mariah, Ricardo, Evelyn, Ellie and Bradley; special pets, Nevaeh, Charlie, Goldie and Puppy; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.

Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave SW. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am with the Mass of Christian Burial being recited at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. at 1:30 pm with US Navy Honors.
