Jose Dolores Torres was born May 25, 1937 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

He owned and operated a Cabinet Company and was an expert Carpenter, a casket manufacturer and a skilled Tradesman. Jose loved to build and construct just about anything. In his younger years he was a wrestler, a sport he greatly enjoyed. As well, he loved to fish and enjoyed spending time in Willard, New Mexico with family. Most of all, Jose always provided for his family.

Jose married his beloved and beautiful wife, Viola, at St. Anne Catholic Church 64 years ago. Jose and Viola were active members of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church for many years. He will be forever remembered by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Sr and Dolores Torres; sister, Lilly and by his brothers, Orlando and Vicente Torres.

Jose is survived by his treasured wife, Viola; beloved son and amazing caretaker, Jose "David" Torres III and his companion Frieda Martinez; many nephews, nieces and numerous friends who loved and will miss him greatly.

The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4 ^th St. NW., on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 noon.
