Jose Marez "Manuel"

December 19, 1956 - August 19, 2025

Jose "Manuel" Marez Jr., age 68 and lifelong resident of Grants, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was born December 19, 1956 to Jose "Joe" Marez and Placida Chavez Marez.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Placida Marez and by his brother-in-law, Cecil Roberts.

He is survived by his daughters, Mindi Marez, Vanessa Lujan and husband Jason; grandsons, Lorenzo Trujillo and Joshua Lujan; siblings, Margaret Roberts, Charles Marez, Fred Marez and wife Jennifer DeMarco; uncle, Carlos Marez; aunt, Jenny Baldonado and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Manuel was a hardworking man that loved his family and the great outdoors.  He will be missed by many.

A graveside service will be held at Grants Memorial Park on Monday, September 8th, 2025 at 11:00.
