John Romero Jr. "John John", age 50, loving father, stand-up brother, thoughtful son, outstanding 'Unk', and a true friend to many passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 4, 2022.

John Jr. was born to John and Frances Romero in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 17, 1971 and graduated from West Mesa, class of 1989. He worked at MCI, PNM, and currently had 25 years of service with NM Gas Company.

John was a Rockstar to all of his friends and family, and was best known for his gregarious personality, shredding guitar, his beaming smile, and always having a joke to give. He was exceptionally full of life and held the greatest honor of being the strong patriarch in his small family.

He is survived by his daughter, Jenae Romero; sister, Paula Romero; mother, Frances Romero; niece, Marisa Perez and (fiancé) Justice Irons, and by his great niece, Sheyla Perez.

He also leaves cherished family, cousins, and friends whom he considered and loved like family. John Jr. is preceded in death by his niece, Krishauna Perez, and by his father, John Romero.

A Rosary and Funeral service will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (5415 Fortuna Rd NW) on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10:15am. An appetizer reception to celebrate his life will be held the following day at Ladera Golf Course on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 1:00pm.
