John Carlos Marcus, age 86, was born January 18, 1956 in Edna, Texas. He sadly left us on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 following a long battle with heart failure.

John lived most of his life in Albuquerque. He will be remembered as the best father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. John loved his family deeply and his passing has left a hole in each of our hearts. He is greatly missed by all of us who loved him dearly.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John Marcus and Belinda Medina. He is survived by his three children, David Eaton, Charlie Marcus and Casey Deree; grandchildren, Angel Flame, James Flame, Madison Driver, Kimberly Driver, Quantaina Marcus, Carlos Marcus and Emily Cook; 2 daughters-in-law, Rebecca Marcus and Jeanne Deree; 8 brothers and sisters, Juanita Rutherford, Evelyn Aragon, Mike Marcus, Francisco Marcus, Felix Marcus, Elaine Marcus, Rachael Marcus and Josephine Sigala; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousin and friends

Services will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A reception will follow at Tiguex Park, 1800 Mountain Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104 from 5:30-8:00 pm
