Joe A.
Garcia
Oct 1, 1937 — Aug 11, 2024
Tijeras
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joe A. Garcia, a beloved husband, devoted father, brother and grandfather. He was called home to be with the Lord, Sunday August 11, 2024, at the age of 86. His life was a testament to hard work and a love for his family.
He greatly enjoyed fishing and camping and created some of the most memorable moments with family and friends during those trips. He poured his heart and soul into the ranch that he shared with the love of his life Frances. Together, they created a home that will forever be filled with love, laughter and many cherished memories. Their bond was a source of strength and inspiration. As a father, he poured the same love and dedication into his four children. Joe was a man who found joy in the simple things—quiet moments at the ranch, shared meals with family, (especially homemade beans, red chile and tortillas), his precious cows and longtime buddy, his dog Gordo, and the laughter of his loved ones. He will always be loved and truly missed.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances and son Joe Mace Garcia, parents Emma and Rosendo Garcia, grandsons Gabriel, Gary Jr., and Anthony, as well as several siblings.
He is survived by his son, Ronald and wife Joanne Garcia, son Richard and wife Francella Garcia, daughter Renee and husband Gary Chavez and daughter-in-law Susan Garcia, as well as many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and family members.
Service will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Koinonia Church, 10405 Comanche Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be served on the church grounds then burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
