JoAnne M. McCarty was born April 9, 1951 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 71.

JoAnne will be remembered as a vibrant person who always found the positive in not only people, but in many situations she was faced with. Through her faith she found strength.

She honorably served her country in the United States Air Force and worked for many years as banquet manager in many upscale hotels. JoAnne loved being part of the crochet club with others as well as a nail artistry.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Rufina Martinez of Pecos, New Mexico.

She is survived by her daughters, Amalia Arreguin and Sarajean McCarty; sons-in-law, Michael Arreguin and Russell Herring; grandchildren, Corbyn, Dalyn, Collin, Evan, Cassidy and Colton; sisters, Agnes and Rose; brother, Demetrio; fiancé, Burleigh Barlow; as well as multiple cousins, extended family and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

Services will be held at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos, New Mexico on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Her Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The interment at the cemetery will be following the Mass.
