Joann "Nana" Felix was born July 29, 1961. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.  She was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Joann was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Felix and by her grandparents, Horacio and Sadie Sanchez and Ciprano and Chistina Felix.

She is survived by her father, Leo Felix; daughter, Frances and husband Jesus Avila; son, Abel and wife Diana Castillo; and by her beloved grandchildren, Angelica Avila, Ignacio Avila, Abel Jr. Castillo "AJ," and Destiny Chavez;  brothers and sisters, Leo and wife Jenny, Betty and husband Rick, Dorothy and husband Jim, Bobby and wife Elaine, Diane and husband Oscar; 11 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Nana enjoyed sharing her crochet work with family and friends, and annual beanie and bootie donations to the children's hospital, she loved her puppy Miss Coco, and all of her extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am, with mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:15 am. There will then be a procession to Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Albuquerque, NM  87102 for the interment.
