It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim Mazzio.  Jim was born in Albuquerque to Frank and Joann Mazzio.  A life long resident of New Mexico, Jim was a friend to all, and loved by all who had the good fortune to know him.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Frank Mazzio, and his soulmate partner Jan Papania. He is survived by his 96 year old mother Joann Mazzio, and his dedicated little sister Lee Mazzio-Dyer.

Jim had an insatiable desire for knowledge, constantly researching a wide range of subjects. He will be remembered for his impeccable memory, intellect, and humor, in addition to his high level of musical talent.

Jim was a lifelong student of music and art. He was best known as the skillful lead guitarist of the ever popular band, Sassy Jones. Jim loved his musical family and deeply appreciated sharing his creative passions with so many talented artists.

Jim, was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, complete with an amazing array of superstitions in support of his favorite team.  He was an accomplished golfer with a beautifully fluid swing.  Jim liked travel, exploration, and spirited interactions with family and friends.

His celebration of life will be announced and held in the near future.  Like his family, please keep Jim's memories in your heart..
