Obituary

Jessica A Carranza "Jess" was born July 20, 1990 in Dallas, Texas.  She passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jess will be remembered as very outgoing and adventurous person who loved sports of all kinds. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy Football and UNM Lobo fan. Jess enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, cruising, music, singing, cooking and spending time with her treasured family. She was always the life of the party and had a heart of gold.

Jess was part of Sagebrush Church and was a born-again Christian who was loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her "granny bear", Marion Cipriano; uncle, Jeff Chavez; fiancée, James Zamora and by her grandpa, Rudy Cipriano.

Jess is survived by her loving daughter, Deanna Monique and husband Angel; parents, Jose and Joyce Contreras; two brothers, Jose "JoJo" Contreras, Juan "Juanito" Carranza; three sisters, Jasmine Becerra and husband Diego, Adrianna Osornio and husband Alberto and Phillis Contreras; fiancée, Jesse Martinez; grand-pet, Bella; several nieces, nephews, cousins as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 9:00 am at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at San Carlos Cemetery.  A Reception will follow at the High Level Vista Event Center, 4311 Sara Rd. Suite 209, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 (on 2nd floor which is accessible via elevator)
