Jesse
Ramirez
Aug 5, 1942 — Jun 6, 2021
Albuquerque
Jesse Ramirez, our Dad and "Grampo", was born August 5, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. He passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 with his loving family by his side.
Jesse honorably served his country in the US Army Reserves.
He loved taking care of grandma, loved being a father/grandpa and will be especially remembered for being there and taking care of everyone in spite of their need or situation. Jesse was a fierce yet quiet protector of his treasured family.
Jesse loved to watch TV, especially QVC and Infomercials, where he could order endless amounts of "great things". As well, he greatly enjoyed flea markets, collecting coins, stamps and collecting just about anything.
His family will forever remember him as a true handy man who could fix anything and for being the original strongest man in the world, who loved to laugh and joke even though it was not always appropriate. Jesse will be greatly missed.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Geri Ramirez; three daughters, Helen Ramirez and husband Ralph, Lila Ramirez and partner Jessie Avila, Julie Lucero and husband JC all from Albuquerque; 5 grandchildren, Nicole and husband Chris, Jesse J and wife Ebonie, Alex, Jazzy and Eric; 4 great grandchildren, Deven, Eleina, Danika and Jesse/JJ; his beloved family dog, Doug whom he called his "Hito"; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly.
Services will be held at St Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW., on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10:30 am. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
