Jerry Mack Barnard, age 79, was called to heaven to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 6, 2025.  He was born on September 23, 1945 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Otis and Oleta Barnard.  He is preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother, Ronald Barnard.

J. Mack is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Jeannetta Barnard; two sons, Paul Barnard (Dena) and Kent Barnard (Kim); 5 grandchildren, Zachary Barnard, Courtney Rel (David), Victoria Sierra (Matthew), Kyla Bixler (Hunter), and Colton Barnard; 2 great grandchildren, Ellie Rel and Adelyn Bixler; 3 siblings, Jean Jensen (Bob), Wayne Barnard (Hope) and Perry Barnard (Barbara); sister in law, Kathleen Barnard, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He loved his family fiercely and enjoyed spending time with them whether it was a Branson trip, family get together, a meal, a ballgame, a ride around town looking at cars, splurging on a DQ malt, finding every pawn shop or flea market in the city to peruse, ministry trips, or just being together at the house telling stories and catching up.

J. Mack was a loving and devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle, son, cousin, brother in law, friend, and pastor.  He and Jeannetta spent 52 years in full time ministry before they retired in April of 2021. The imprint and legacy he leaves behind is significant and will not be forgotten.  He preached passionately about heaven and he has now heard his Savior say "well done thou good and faithful servant".

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Vision City Church, 2900 Southern Boulevard Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124, on Monday, February 17, 2025. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. Pastor Kent Barnard will officiate. Burial will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Zachary Barnard, Matthew Sierra, Colton Barnard, Randall White, David Rel and Mike Jensen.
