Jerri Reynolds Robertson, 84, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024. Jerri is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Buddy Robertson; son Michael and wife Theresa; daughter Lyssa and husband Dan; son Thomas and wife Quindi; and cherished grandchildren, Zach, MacKenzye (Chris), Delaney (John-Isaac), Brooke, RyLee, Riley, Jack, Lucas Sloan, Ian (Tara), Gabriella, Bridgette; and great-granddaughter Charlie.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Jane Moody, brother Bobby Reynolds, brother Ray Moody, brother Michael Moody, and sister Ly Jermyn.

Born in Bellmead, Texas on March 7, 1940 to Robert Reynolds and Jane Redding, Jerri moved with her family to New Mexico at 3 years old, residing in Lordsburg, Deming, Silver City, Belen, and finally, Albuquerque – a city she would grow to love as her home. Jerri graduated from Valley High School in the class of 1958, and went on to study Physical Education at the University of New Mexico, where she graduated in 1962. While in college, Jerri met Buddy in class and fell in love soon after. They married at Harwood Methodist Church in Albuquerque on October 25, 1961 and had three children together.

While she loved working at a dress shop in Belen, she was also very proud of her first teaching job. After graduating college, Jerri went on to become one of the first female elementary physical education teachers in Albuquerque. She taught P.E. for 32 years and helped manage Wilson Stadium alongside her husband Buddy for over 40 years. Jerri was a proud member of Job's Daughters and was Bethel Honor Queen in 1958.

She was a dedicated member of Asbury United Methodist Church, especially with helping guide the youth, including teaching Sunday School, being a youth leader, and accompanying many church choir trips. At a very young age, Jerri knew she wanted to be a Christian and was baptized when she was ten years old. She wanted to do all she could to help God while allowing God to help her throughout her life. Jerri was a woman of faith and attended church with Buddy every Sunday. Together, they also enjoyed watching baseball, going out to their favorite restaurants, and visiting with their family and many friends. Jerri noted that her most important accomplishments and passions were being a wife, mother, and nana. When asked what she loved most about life, Jerri's answer was "everything." Her services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers please wear a shade of blue to honor Jerri. r
