Jaunell Sussie Shelton Eberting, age 96, was born in White Deer, Texas on August 18, 1927 to parents Henry and Beulah Shelton. She was called home on Christmas Eve morning, 2023.

Juanell was a graduate of Mobeetie High School and then nursing school in Amarillo, Texas. She married husband Denzil Eberting in 1950. They then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1962 where they raised their two children, Darrell and Shirley Eberting. Juanell was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star Amarillo Chapter #787.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Shirley and her husband Steve Bates, as well as her granddaughter, Laura Eberting-Ramirez, and great-granddaughter, Shavauna Lanea Escarcida.

She is survived by her son, Darrell and his wife Rita Eberting; her brother, Joe Shelton; 5 grandchildren and their partners, Sean and Melissa Escarcida, Chad and Alice Escarcida, Eric and Fermina Escacida, Andrea and Rory Deubel; 8 great grandchildren and their partners; as well as many great- great grandchildren who will all miss her dearly.

Services for Jaunell Eberting are scheduled for Friday January 5th, 2024 at Lighthouse Baptist Church 4001 12th St. N.W. The viewing will begin at 10:30 AM followed by the services at 11:00 AM. The services will be led by Pastor Rick Legg and Gene Baca. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd. N.E.
