Obituary

James Mora ("Jim Dog") a resident of Bernalillo, NM passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, surrounded by family at the age of 63 years young. He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy Mora; as well as his paternal grandmother Sally; maternal grandparents Ben and Reyna Gallegos.

He is survived by his loving mother Cecilia Beulah Mora; daughter Reeve Mora (Nick Palacio); three grandchildren, Ezequiel, Thaddeus, and Amelia Palacio;  sisters Maxine Garcia (husband Manuel Sr.), Corina Romero (husband Julian). He is remembered by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

James proudly served in the United States Army and spoke often with pride of his deployment in Germany. He was a lifelong New Orleans Saints fan, was a sharp dresser and a ladies' man who was always ready for a party and loved to save a dance for his mother. He also loved singing along to Dos O Tres Tequilas.  He was thrifting before it was cool. The reason he lasted for 9 lives was his mothers mentalato remedies. He had a kind heart and helped anyone in need. He enjoyed wood crafts and shared them with others. Jim loved to play and watch sports, but if you played with him, it would be a contact sport whether you liked it or not.

Rosary for James will be on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 10:00 am with mass to follow at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 301 S. Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM 87004.
