James Wesley Mitchell

James Wesley Mitchell,  father, grandfather, brother, and friend entered eternal rest on April 27, 2025, at the age of 73 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Born on June 5, 1951, in Ada, Oklahoma to Tom Allen and Emma Jewel (Armstead) Mitchell, James was the eldest of three children. A passionate manual worker, James worked in various service industries for more 35 years.

James married Guadalupe on April 1, 2001. They shared a beautiful blended family and friends together until his death.

James had interests in biblical studies, sports, and making memories with friends. His kind spirit, gentle manner, and unwavering faith were a source of strength to all who knew him.

He is survived by his children James Mitchell Jr., Christina Cooper, and Megan Mitchell; his three grandchildren, Christian, Emma, and Sariyah, his sister, Beverly, nieces, blended family (Guadalupe), and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tommy Lee.

The family is planning a private remembrance. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local area church.
