James Robert Lewis also known as Deacon Bob Lewis, age 82, was born on September 12, 1941 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Daniel and Estella and passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. James Robert lost his battle to dementia but not without a fight. He is now reunited in Heaven with his wife, Isabel, both of his parents, his mother-in-law and father in law Augustine and Luz Urioste, his sister Emily and brothers Rudy, Daniel Jr.(Sonny) and Arthur. He is survived by his three daughters, Lorrie and husband Ernest, Annmarie and Shantell and husband Jason; grandchildren, Kayla Rebekah and Ty Robert; sister Donna and husband Gilbert and sister-in-law Gloria Lewis; several brothers and sisters in law. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; his long-time friend and neighbor, Robert (Bobby) Gleasner; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly. James was a faithful servant to the Lord who served as a Deacon of the Catholic church for 25 years. When they arrive at the gates of death, God welcomes those who love him. Oh God, here I am, your servant, your faithful servant: set me free for your service.  Psalm 116: 16-17.

Services will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town, on Monday October 2, 2023. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. A private family interment will take place at a later time.
