James "Jim" Edward Theiler born May 16, 1939, in Louisville, KY to Raymond and Gladys (Hawkes) Theiler passed away on June 2, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 84.

Jim spent his youth working on the family farm in KY until his family moved to NM where he attended school in Belen, NM.  He worked as a lineman in Farmington, NM, but spent most of his career in Albuquerque as a mechanic/machinist at Knighton's Automotive Machine Shop until his retirement in 2004.

In the early 1960's you could see Jim at the "roundy rounds" at Albuquerque's Speedway Park in his red No. 8 Jalopy. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting, camping, waterskiing, snow skiing and riding horses.  He was a man of many talents and there was nothing he couldn't build or fix. He was always available to lend a helping hand.

Jim is survived by his wife Laurie Stanton-Theiler and their daughter Lisa Theiler and her sisters Carrie & Elena Stanton; by Sandy Norris and their son Daniel Norris and his sister Becky Norris; and by Patsy Theiler and their children James P. Theiler, Debbie S. Blea, Andrew Theiler and Kathleen Houck.  He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 "fantastic" (great) grandchildren, as he called them.

He is also survived by his siblings Raymond "Skip" Theiler, Jerry Theiler, Michael Theiler, Nancy Summet, and Marilyn Feldman and their families as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, out-laws and friends who will always remember just how "blessed" he was.

A celebration of life will be held at the Tramway Plaza Event Centre, 9600 Tennyson St NE, Albuquerque, NM on Friday, June 30th, 2pm - 6pm.
