James Edward Ross, "Jim", was born July 9, 1949 in Hazel Park, Michigan to Edward and Joanne (Booth) Ross. After a short illness he passed away on Monday, August 14th, 2023.

He was a 1967 graduate of Hazel Park High School and was on the Varsity Swim and Baseball Teams.

Jim honorably served his country in the US Navy and studied at U of D Mercy. He moved to New Mexico as an adult because of Michigan winters and lived in Taos, New Mexico.  Jim loved playing guitar in his spare time. He always said it was how he would unwind.   His favorite restaurant in Michigan was National Coney Island and was the first place he would go when he came home.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Edward W Ross and Joanne Rita (Booth) Ross; his brother, Ronald Ross; sister-in-law, Paula (Vozar) Ross; nephew, Michael Ross; brother, Edward A. Ross and by his nephew, James Ross Stevens,

Jim is survived by his sisters, Mary (Ross) Stevens and Sharon (Ross) Pare; brother-in-law, Ross Pare; life-long best friends, Donald and Jody Latvis. Jim is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved and will miss him.

Jim was interred in a private ceremony, with Honors, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe. New Mexico.
