Irene Priscilla (Romero) Byers, 89, went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 25th, 2026. Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Byers Sr. and by her parents, Adolfo and Lucy Romero of Santa Fe.

Irene is survived by her loving sister, Betty Dominguez; her children, Rosalie (Robert) Carver, Lilly (Mike) Drye, Ernest Byers Jr. (Lori Page), Daniel Byers (Brenda Mendoza) and Steven Byers; as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunt, nieces, nephews and friends.

Irene’s Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Church, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE., on Thursday, October 29th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with reception to follow. Interment will be at National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Friday, October 30th , 2026 at 2:00 p. m.

Until we meet again in Heaven, may Irene rest in peace in the loving arms of her Savior.
