Howard R. Lewin

June 12, 1934 to April 23, 2022

Howard Lewin, loving husband and father, passed from this life on Saturday, April 23, 2022. He was a devoted husband to his wife and best friend of sixty years, Barbara (Golden).

Howard was born in Chicago on June 12, 1934 to Betty (Levin) and Roy S. Lewin. He graduated from Michigan State University where he was a member of the ROTC program. He served in the U.S. Army after graduation.

Howard passed peacefully with his wife Barbara at his side. His legacy lives on in his sons, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. He was greatly loved by his sons and their families: Scott, Leanne, and granddaughter Lauren; James, Julie, grandchildren Travis, Presley and great-granddaughter Kennedy, grandsons Zane Austin and Hunter.

He is survived by his sister, Diane Lofchie, sister-in-law, Phyllis Dyer, his extended family, and countless friends and colleagues.

Howard will be remembered for his storytelling, jokes, and the laughter he shared. He was loved and he will be missed.

His legacy lives on.

If the measure of a man's life is how he was loved by others, then Howard was truly a man among men for he was loved by all who knew him.
