Helen Elizabeth Ballard March 12, 1945-June 14, 2022

Helen Ballard passed away on June 14, 2022. She was born Helen Elizabeth Miller in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 12, 1945. She was a 1963 graduate of Valley High School.

Helen married Ralph Ballard in 1963. The couple lived in Albuquerque until 1965, when they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. They returned to Albuquerque in 1966, and stayed until they moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1968.

Helen moved back to Albuquerque with her children when she divorced in 1975. She would live in Albuquerque for the rest of her life and graduated from Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute with a Diploma in Accounting in 1985. Helen was a lifelong Christian who loved to make arts and crafts and play music and serve in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert Miller Sr. and Mary Virginia Johnson Miller; sister, Marilee Joann Ballard and by her daughter, Robin Lynn Ballard. Helen is survived by her sons, Richard Ballard of Rio Rancho and John Ballard of Rio Rancho; her brothers, John Miller Jr of Albuquerque, Jack Miller and wife Teresa of Las Vegas, Nevada, Roy Miller Sr.  of Henderson, Nevada, Don Miller and wife Liz of Missouri; her sister, Patsy Cratty of Oregon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends who loved and will miss her.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Star Heights Recreation Center, 800 Polaris Blvd SE in Rio Rancho. Lunch will be 12:00 noon, with service following at 1:00 pm.
