Heather Alona Combs was born February 27, 1954 in Berkeley, California and passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was an avid ballet dancer as a young woman, and even was a ballet teacher at one point in her life. Heather met the love of her life, Howard "Butch" Combs at a restaurant in Austin, Texas where she worked in 1980. They would be married on September 29, 1992 in New Mexico where they would make their lives together in Edgewood. Heather was a beloved mother to her son, David, and a loving "Yiyi" to her grandchildren, Gabriel, Francesca, Zoë, Charles and Kay. She was also a "great yiyi" to her great grandchildren, Aurelia, Emmanuel and Danielle whom she loved dearly.

Heather loved to spend her days bird watching at her home in Edgewood, NM with her dog, Cricket and spending time with her husband, Butch at their favorite bar The Canteen. She was an avid gardener who loved to fill her home with as many plants as she could, and also spend time watching the local wildlife in her yard such as deer. Heather enjoyed spending time with her son and grandchildren watching movies and eating popcorn. She loved to spend time with her great grandchildren as often as she could, as well as spend time having "Hen Parties" with friends. She was a woman who loved everyone she met, and had many children and grandchildren that she "adopted" over the years.

There will be a celebration of life for Heather at The Canteen Brewhouse on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
