Griselda Valenzuela passed away on March 22, 2023 surrounded by her parents and her sister.  She was loving daughter, sister and mother. Griselda was born in Albuquerque on March 28, 1983.

She led a life serving the community and making a difference in many lives. She began working for the DD waiver at the very young age right out of high school. She worked hard to succeed in her career and became an Executive Director, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Griselda served as a mentor and leader in the field paving the way for many others.

Throughout her many successes in life, she made sure everyone knew of her love for the South Valley and remembered proudly where she came from. Griselda had pride in her bringing up by embracing her love for music, which she got from her dad and her love for bean burritos she ate at her mom's house every time she visited. Griselda lived a humble life of giving to others without ever needing recognition.

She is survived by her two children, Santana Rimbert, Marcos Rimbert, her husband Luis Rimbert, two step daughters Olivia and Elisiana Rimbert, her Father Mario Lujan, her Mother Maria Lujan and her sister Adriana Lopez.

Her beautiful smile and laugh will be missed.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 8:15 am followed by mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Lopez, Ramon Valenzuela, Jesus Carillo, David Lujan, Oliver Lujan, Telesfor Lujan.
