Georgia Mary Whisenhunt-Trujillo, 62, of Albuquerque New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, July 29 2023. Georgia was born on May 29, 1961 in Albuquerque.

She loved playing baseball in her youth and graduated from West Mesa High School. After high school, she proudly and honorably served her country in the United States Marine Corps and then entered into a career with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2007.

Georgia married David Gore with whom she had Latasha Gore and Eric Gore. She married Richard Trujillo with whom she had Destiny "Sugar" Trujillo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Olen Whisenhunt; her brother, Edward Whisenhunt and by her husband, Richard Trujillo.

Georgia is survived by her mother, Viola Ashcroft; her children, Latasha Gore, Eric Gore and Destiny Trujillo; her grandchildren, Andrew Gore, Julian Fielder, Javon Fielder and Eric Gore Jr.; and by her brothers and sisters. She was loved, loving, and will be so very missed. We love you, mom.

A memorial service will be held, in-person, at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th Street NW Albuquerque NM., on Monday August 7th, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 PM and live-streamed and recorded via YouTube (search "ShadyNM").

The burial will then take place on Tuesday, August 8th at 12:30PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with United States Marine Corps Honors. Please do not send flowers to either venue.
