George Sedillo Sr., 78, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Monday, August 5, 2024.

He was born in Estancia, New Mexico on February 22, 1946 and graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque.

George was preceded in death by his father, Lonesio Sedillo; his mother, Manuelita; his brothers, Henry Sedillo Sr. and Jesus Sedillo Sr.; and by his nephews, Ruben Sanchez and Henry Sedillo Jr.

He is survived by his son, George Sedillo Jr.; sisters, Della Kuhn, Katie Sedillo, Rita Duran, Virginia Sedillo and Molly Rosales; his brothers, John Sedillo Sr. and Leo Sedillo Jr.; as well as his grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

George was an avid bowler, a hobby that brought him much joy and camaraderie throughout his life. His presence at the bowling alley will be deeply missed by those who knew him and shared lanes with him. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by the many lives he touched.

Funeral services for George will be held at St. Threse Church, 300 Mildred Ave. NW., on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am.
