Genoveve Armijo, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the age of 64. She lived a full life surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Katie Ortiz. Gen is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Armijo; children Bobby, Valerie, and Nico; as well as her grandchildren Jade, Jeremiah "Buddy", James, Jacob, and Jazlyn. Gen will continue to be loved unconditionally by her brother Chris Ortiz; three sisters, Ida Sanchez, Karlene Sanchez, and Charlene Cremonese; father Chano Ortiz; as well as her in-laws Cathy Ortiz, Rick Sanchez, Bobby Sanchez and Nick Cremonese. Everyone who knew Gen will miss her dearly, but will faithfully rest assured that she is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Vistiation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 9:00-9:30 am, followed by a Rosary and Funeral Mass all to be held at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. The Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Rick Sanchez, Bobby Sanchez, Nick Cremonese, Ray Chavez, Dominic Naranjo, Aurelio Romero, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Nico, Jeremiah, James, and Jacob.
