Frank A. Maestas was born March 14, 1945 in Cuba, New Mexico. He passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Fanny Maestas and by his daughter, Angela Maestas.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of  60 years, Erlinda Maestas; his loving son, Frank Maestas and wife Cindy Maestas; treasured grandchildren, CJ, Franko, Court and Carsyn Maestas; seven siblings as well as other family members and friends who loved and will mourn his passing.

Frank was very well known for his long talks, smartallic comments and joking personality. He had the ability to push buttons and make everyone laugh.

He will be remembered for being a long time barber at the barber shop he owned and operated in the North Valley of Albuquerque where many lasting friendships and memories were made.

Frank truly loved spending time with his beloved daughter, prior to her passing,   and with his son and favorite daughter-in-law; as well as the treasured time spent with his beloved wife and grandchildren. We will all miss him greatly.

Frank greatly enjoyed going to Pagosa Springs, Colorado for summer vacation where he was blessed to be with his family and was able to do many of his favorite activities which, of course, included fishing for hours at Pagosa Lake trying to catch the infamous fish Josaphina.

He enjoyed many other activities; especially, he enjoyed watching his favorite teams The Raiders, The Dodgers and The Celtics, but not without munching on his favorite snacks and sweet treats, playing on his tablet and popping his gum (which irritated his wife to the fullest even though we know she secretly loved it), and all the while blaming everything on Arthur.

Throughout his life, Frank enjoyed hunting and spending time with is brothers and other friends and family, especially in his hometown of Cuba, New Mexico.

The last thing we want to remember is that anything bad was always done by Arthur, never Frank!

A viewing will be held for Frank in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 4:30 to 5:00 pm.

Funeral service will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4th and Alameda NW., on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The Rosary will be recited at 8:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am.
