Frances '"Kika" Trujillo passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the age of 80. Kika was born in Jemez Springs, New Mexico on April 23, 1944, the daughter of Evaristo Montoya and Josephine Montoya. She was the third child of a family of nine. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She adored her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Louis Trujillo;  son Tim Trujillo and wife Martha Trujillo; daughter Connie Garcia and husband Ernest Garcia; two brothers Charlie Montoya and Pete Montoya;  three sisters Jean Jaskolski and husband Ernie Jaskolski, Mary Freer and husband Raymond Freer and Rita Vanlandingham and husband Sam Vanlandingham; 4 grandchildren Vincent Trujillo and Karissa Trujillo, Adrian Trujillo, Paul Garcia and Merisa Romero and Serena Garcia and John Wright; 7 great grandchildren Trevor Trujillo, Makayla Trujillo, Tyler Trujillo, Kaleb Trujillo, Sophia Wright, Jonah Wright and Ezekiel Garcia. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

She is preceded in her death by her parents Evaristo Montoya and Josephine Montoya; three brothers Albert Montoya, Evaristo (Junior) Montoya and Gerald Montoya.

After graduating from Jemez Valley High school in 1961, she married Louis Trujillo on October 27, 1962 at the Jemez Springs Catholic Church. The new family settled in the nearby village of Ponderosa. After the children were raised, Kika sought employment in various occupations in the community. People who remember Kika, remembered that she loved walking the track before going to work. She also walked fast which some people had to work to keep up with her. She also loved working and is why she worked until she was 74 years old when she retired from the Valles Caldera in 2018. Kika was kind to everyone she met and always helped and supported her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, family, friends and strangers in any and every way she could. She was the best wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend anyone could have asked for. She will be missed deeply.

There will be a private service for the immediate family to celebrate her life and say their goodbyes.
