Fermin Gonzales Jr., 79, of Albuquerque, NM, was called to be with the Lord, May 29, 2025, surrounded by many who love him throughout the months leading to his passing.

He will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, not just to his immediate family but to many.  He will also be remembered for the love he has for his family and the willingness to help anyone in need.

He was born September 9, 1945, in La Madera, New Mexico, he was one of 16 siblings.

On April 18, 1964, he married his childhood love, Genevieve, the two celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Together they had 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Their children Michael, Herman, Evelyn and Husband Steve Serna , Lori and Husband Tim Garcia and Lara.

Their grandchildren Saraya, Jimmy and wife Nicole, Justine, Nikki, Russell, Brandon and wife Hailey and Uriah.

Their great grandchildren Angelica, Lilly, Sophia, Asher, Oliver, Gerald, August, Azalea and Oakley.

Fermin Jr. is preceded in death by his parents Fermin and Rosalia Gonzales and Grandson's Estevan Montoya and Josiah Serna.

Our dad was a hard worker and a wonderful provider and he instilled that in everyone.   He got his love for ranching and hunting from his father and it reflected in the way he raised his children and grandchildren.

He loved to hunt and ride horses and work on his collector vehicles, he loved music and played his accordion and guitar.  He made sure he taught us all what he was so passionate about. When he wasn't at the ranch, who are we kidding he was always at the ranch, but when he wasn't he always made time for his family, especially his grandchildren.

There will be a viewing from Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 2:00pm-5:00pm, in the chapel of Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th St NW, ABQ, NM

Celebration of life will be on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 11:00 am at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano Rd NW, ABQ, NM

Burial to follow the celebration of life at the La Madera Cemetery, La Madera, NM
