Fabiola (Pola) Ortega-Muniz, 96, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went home to dance on Streets of Gold with her Lord and Savior, June 23, 2024.

Fabiola was the eighth of ten children born to loving parents Leonardo and Fidela Muniz on July 17, 1927 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Fabiola lived a long, beautiful life full of love, joy, peace and strength. She was a living example of what it means to be a good and faithful servant. Fabiola was devoted in prayer and lived a life in service and ministry to others. She loved to dance and enjoyed life without fear or worry. Her daughter, grandchildren and family were her treasure. Her beloved family rise up and call her blessed.

Fabiola was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, and great-great-granddaughter Serenity Valenzuela.

She is lived by her daughter Eufelia Muniz; grandchildren: Bernadette Baca, Christina Montaño, Paul Muniz, and Aneva Padilla; great-grandchildren: Juan Baca, Naomi Griego, Beatrice Davenport, Jericha Brown, Justin Muniz, Reshiah Baca, Daniela Romero, Lachelle Roman, and Kathryn Candelaria; great-great-grandchildren: Daniel Baca, Christopher Gallegos, Azriel Gallegos, Julian Baca, Gabriel Baca, Genesis Griego, Zalea Roman, Zia Roman, Georgiana Brown, Ezias Romero, Judas Davenport, and Isaiah Martinez; and her sister Maria (Lala) E. Garcia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at San Jose de Los Duranes Mission Church, 2110 Los Luceros Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104, on her birthday, Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00 am. Reception to follow.
