Eustolia Gutierrez a lifelong resident of Carnuel, New Mexico, was born on January 30, 1943 to Ignacio and Eulalia Lopez. She passed away peacefully, in her home, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 surrounded by her treasured family.
Eustolia was a devout Catholic and a proud member of Holy Child Parish. She will be remembered for her love of spending precious time with her family, cooking and baking, especially making biscochitos, tortillas and Chili. Over the years, Eustolia also enjoyed watching Novelas, playing bingo and going to the casino.
Her family also praised her for being the most amazing caregiver for her late son, David and her late husband, Gilbert and she believed their needs came before her needs.
Eustolia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Gilbert; her son, David; her daughter, Sandra Sheppard and by her great grandchild, Baby Sandra Archuleta. She is lovingly survived by her 4 children, Gilbert Gutierrez of Carnuel; Linda Gutierrez of Carnuel; Isabel Herrera and husband Jerry of Carnuel; Diane Gutierrez and wife Dr. Francine Marz of South Carolina; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss her.
Services will beheld at Holy Child Parish in Tijeras, on Thursday, December 7, 2023. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am with the interment following at the Chilili Cemetery.
