Estella "Stella" Barela was born July 4, 1925. She passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Our beloved Stella passed peacefully with her niece, Yvonne Grimes at her side.

Stella had been battling breast cancer since 2018 and eight months ago, the cancer had aggressively spread throughout her body.

For the past eight years, she had been living with Yvonne, Yvonne's husband, Kip, great-niece, Caitlynn and great-nephew, Matthew.

Stella was a delight, warm, and caring person. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and reading her daily devotionals.

Stella was preceded in death by her mother and father; by her sisters, Veneranda Anaya and Francis Barela as well as her brothers, Joe Candelario Barela and Trinidad Barela.

She will be greatly missed by her surviving sister, Lucy Caldwell, Lucy's husband Albino, and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Those left behind and with a hole in their hearts should be comforted with the knowledge she is with our Dear Loving Savior.

Romans 14:7-9, 10-12

None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself. For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. For this is why Christ died and came to life, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living. For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bend before me, and every tongue shall give praise to God." So then, each of us shall give an account of himself to God.
