Espididiona "Speedy" Chavez passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1939 in Socorro, NM.  She was a longtime cosmetologist, prior to that she worked in a restaurant with her great auntie Tony.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frances Carrillo and Polinar Carrillo; husband Richard Chavez; brothers and sisters Ermie Ross Pino, Martha Aragon, James Carrillo and Joe Gomez; daughter Diana Sena; and son in law Gerald Muniz Brother in law Eusebio Gurule,  Ron Aragon Vincent Mosco;

She is survived by two daughters Geraldine Muniz and Reitha McCoy and husband William; one son Ricardo Chavez and wife Melissa  Chavez; brothers and sisters Gloria Gurule, Melba Mosco, Lorraine & James Garcia; sisters in law Brenda Carrillo, Elaine Gomez; three grandsons Christopher Sena and wife Sandra Leon, Elliott McCoy and Tranquilino  Lewis Chavez; three granddaughters Michelle Trujillo, Darlene Trujillo and Savannah McCoy and Malachi Gonzales; three great grandsons, one great granddaughter; one great great grandson; one great great granddaughter; many nephews, nieces and cousins.  Espididiona was greatly loved and cherished by her whole family.  She will be greatly missed.

Celebration of life will be held at the family home of her son Ricardo Chavez and Melissa Lewis Chavez, on Saturday, June 14, 2025 and 3:00 p.m.
