Jose Esperidion "Speedy" Sanchez
February 8, 1944 – March 29, 2024
In loving memory of Jose Esperidion Sanchez, also affectionately known as Speedy, who passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, into the loving embrace of the Lord. Born on February 8, 1944, Speedy's journey through life was adorned with cherished moments and a profound appreciation for the beauty of simplicity.
As a dedicated horse trainer, he found the love of the outdoors, the enjoyment of deer hunting, fishing and sitting outside basking in the beauty of nature. But perhaps his true sanctuary lay within the serene landscapes of Cousins ranch in Mountainair and the rustic charm of his Nephew's cabin in Jemez. These sanctuaries provided the backdrop for countless treasured memories and moments of tranquility for Speedy. Speedy's unwavering devotion to family was evident in every aspect of his life. Whether gathered at a family get together or embarking on drives to Las Nutrias, his presence brought warmth and joy to those he held dear. His departure leaves a void not only in the lives of his surviving siblings Juanita, Mauricio (wife Mary), Tony (wife Linda), Jonathan (wife Linda), Celina (husband Anthony) and in the hearts of countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
In his passing, Speedy reunites with his beloved parents, Jose and Corina, and his siblings Dennis, Lila, Ramon, Gil, Vidal, Gloria, and Louis who preceded him in eternal rest.
May Speedy's soul find eternal peace, and may his family and friends find comfort in the legacy of love and simplicity he leaves behind. In honoring his memory, may we strive to embrace life's simplest pleasures and cherish the moments spent with those we hold dear. Esperidion our forever "Little Spirit"
