Emma Lucinda Saavedra age 89, of Albuquerque New Mexico, passed into the care of our heavenly father on October 5th 2022. Emma was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Ventura and Amalia Quintana.

Our mother passed peacefully at home while surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mom loved singing, bowling and football (Steelers of course), as well as a good cup of coffee. Most of all, she loved her family and her home that was constantly filled with the joy and laughter of her loving family.

Mom was preceded in death by our wonderful father, Florencio Saavedra;her parents, Ventura and Amalia Quintana; brothers, Cristobal Quintana, Antonio Quintana, Francisco Quintana, Juan Quintana and Theodoro Quintana; sisters, Marcelina Maestas, Julia Quintana, Manuelita Gallegos, and Evangelina Cordova; daughter in law, Glenda Saavedra and grandson in law, Dustin Cunningham.

Our mother, Emma Saavedra is survived by her sons, Jeff F. Saavedra, Ronn J. Saavedra and daughter in law Kathleen Saavedra; son, Richard P. Saavedra; daughter, Mary Ann Chavez and son in law Christopher Chavez; daughter, Barbra J. Corriz and son in law David Corriz; nine grand children and spouses and eleven great grand children; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

The family would also like to give a special thanks to Mom's caregiver and family friend Marissa who provided our mother with daily care and friendship.

A rosary will be recited at Holy Rosary Church 5415 Fortuna NW, Alb, NM at 8:15am.  With a mass, burial and reception to follow.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery 700 Yale Blvd. Alb, NM.

Emma Saavedra will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, located at 700 Yale Blvd S.E. Albuquerque N.M.
